My (fun) Summer Bucket List5:28 PM
Tomorrow starts the first Monday of summer break, and I'm ready to make the most of it.
1// Start vlogging:
My life is actually pretty cool. I try to document its awesomeness on Instagram, but sometimes there's some hilarious stuff that just doesn't make it on camera. Jess and I are constantly laughing, and I want to start documenting those things. Kind of life "home videos"..Why did that tradition start to die out in the 2000's? My mom has piles and piles of home videos from when I was young, but not that many of Holly. I think it'll be fun to capture the funny, stupid, and sometimes weird moments of my life on video, instead of a 10 second story on Snapchat.
2// Go to an amusement park:
The dream goal is Disney World, but I'm too broke for that this year. BUT, I still want to ride a roller coaster before I have to full time teach in the fall. If not, I might just explode. Carowinds sounds awesome, if we can make it happen before I head to Pennsylvania. If not, I'm trying to hit up a water park in PA ASAP.
If my Dad is reading this, he's probably jumping with joy. He HATES that I'm always on my phone or computer. So, I want to dedicate a day to being unplugged and just enjoying what is around me. My dad's house is nestled in one of the prettiest places I've ever seen, and that kind of nature really needs to be appreciated. I know I'll have a hard time with this, but at least it will give me some time to get caught up on my next goal, which is.......
4// Complete my reading list:
I've got like 10 books I want to get through this summer, most of them teacher development books. I feel like reading has been absent in my life for far too long, and that kills me. I don't really want to spend all summer NOT learning, so I might as well read and digest some type of wordage into my brain while I'm sitting by the pool.
5// Get back into a health routine:
Drink more water. Eat more greens. Get on a sleep schedule. Nuff said.
What are your summer plans?
