1 Dress, 3 Ways {feat. ROCKSBOX!}

9:39 AM

Unless you're living on the Upper East Side, you're probably not able to follow the rule "never wear the same thing twice". I know I'm not, so I have to get creative with my closet pieces and I've had to learn how to accessorize well. Whether it's shoes, a different bag, or switching out jewelry, accessories are key to creating a differentiated and creative closet.

From a personal standpoint, I use jewelry and shoes to change up a look rather than a bag. I'm pretty keen on keeping one staple purse, and switching out earrings and bracelets instead. This idea of a revolving door of accessories finally became a reality for me when I was contacted by Rocksbox for a partnership. Their premium jewelry subscription service is a gold mine for jewelry lovers on a budget - but before I get into the details about Rocksbox, let me give you what you really want first; fashion.

My staple piece is a little black dress from Charlotte Russe. This is one of my all time favorite finds and I've gotten so much use out of it. It's classy enough for the work place, and can be dressed up and down very well.

1// The office look: I'm a huge fan of the traditional office look. One of the downfalls of working in public education is the fact that I can't dress like an office secretary from Mad Men. To professionalize this piece, I added a black blazer and some color.

Blazer: Dillards // Necklace: Rocksbox // Bag: Target // Shoes: Charming Charlies

2// The casual look: dressing down is a difficult task for me. I usually go for a cardigan when dressing down, so I grabbed one that I've legit owned FOREVER. I clipped some of my hair to change it up, and retired the heels for my new Apt 9 black booties.

Shoes: Kohls // Jewelry: Charlotte Russe, Marley Lilly // Bag: Charlotte Russe // Cardigan: Gifted

3// The date night look: you could also call this the "glam" look. A night on the town should always be paired with killer heels and a fun + flirty outfit. I'm obsessed with this vest, so I threw it over the dress and added an interesting studded jewelry piece. The rose gold ring matched the shades of pink perfectly.

  1. All three of your looks are fantastic, but I love look number two the most! The color of that cardigan just really changes everything about the look! I love it when bloggers post ways to change up the same piece of clothing; it's so much more attainable for the rest of us!
